This is no ordinary nursery. Inside our Georgian walls, we propagate with care—plants coaxed from heritage seed, heirloom cuttings, and rescued species. Each is grown here in Wiltshire, in soil touched by centuries. And yet, not everything rooted here begins here.
Our trusted grower-partners raise giants across ravines and remote hillsides—rare trees, sculptural specimens, and botanical marvels. These are the pieces you don’t find in shops. The ones that speak in the language of time and place.

Bulbs and Rhizomes
A perennial to 30cm, with broad, glaucous leaves and nodding, solitary white flowers in late winter, the outer segments to 2.5cm in length, inner ones flared at tip, with both basal and apical green marks that sometimes merge into one.
A hardy perennial bulb, up to 1.2m tall, with grey-green, strap-shaped leaves. Fifty or more white, star-shaped flowers form tightly-packed balls, up to 12cm across, held on tall, ribbed stems in late spring and early summer.
Bulbous perennial up to 2m in height, with spreading, glossy, pale green strap-shaped basal leaves which die down before the flowers. Dense globose umbels of lilac-pink flowers to 10cm across with prominent stamens, are borne on tall stems in summer.
This variety will produce some breathtaking clear blue, star shaped flowers in early spring. This variety is very popular in rock gardens or as part of border displays.
A strong-growing bulbous perennial to 20cm in height, with narrow, arching green leaves and erect stems bearing dense spikes of white-tipped, deep violet-blue, egg-shaped flowers 5mm in length in spring.
Negrita' grows to around 40cm, producing goblet-shaped flowers in late spring; these are a clerical, purple-magenta.
A bulbous perennial grows to 50cm tall, and has striking colouration. The outer tepals are ochre yellow, almost covered by a broad maroon-purple triangle running from the base up to the pointed tip. Inside the flower is yellow with just a purple flush towards the base.
Jetfire' is a bulbous perennial to 20cm in height, with narrow, bright green leaves and flowers 7cm in width, with bright yellow, slightly reflexed perianth segments and a bright orange trumpet.
A bulbous perennial to 30cm in height, with lance-shaped, greyish-green leaves and 1-2 nodding, bell-shaped purple flowers, the tepals tessellated with pale pink in a checkerboard fashion. Widely naturalised in Britain, but probably not a true native.
Pink Pearl' is a bulb 20-30cm in height, with rich green leaves and broad, erect spikes of fragrant, deep pink flowers edged pale pink.
Iris ‘Harmony' is a dwarf, bulbous plant, to 12cm in height, with erect, linear, mid-green leaves. The early spring flowers are royal blue with a striped white throat and a bright yellow central band on the falls. The crests have a slightly feathered edge, creating a softly ruffled effect.
A small tuberous perennial with mid-green leaves cut deeply into fine lobes. Has large, striking velvety violet-blue flowers with black centres that gradually open up to a saucer-like shape, during spring, after which it will die back until late autumn.
